New to Training at Tanner’s?
Group classes and workshops are open to Tanner’s clients and the public and do not require Tanner’s Meet & Greet and Evaluation process. New participants must create an account and upload current vaccine records before registering. You can register for available training options through your account or contact our office to reserve your spot.
Workshops + Multi-Session Courses
Tanner’s offers group training focused on real life skills and common behavioral concerns, giving pet parents practical techniques they can continue using at home while building better communication with their dogs.
Tanner’s workshop and multi-session course dates, along with registration details, are announced throughout the year.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Attendance is limited to two people per dog, and children under 12 may not attend group training sessions. If either requirement presents an issue, please speak with a Tanner’s team member before registering.
- Group courses and workshops require minimum enrollment to run. Tanner’s may cancel or reschedule if minimum enrollment is not met; registered participants will be notified.
- Multi-session courses are confirmed based on enrollment before the first scheduled class.
- Already have some training experience? Single-session attendance & pricing may be available for a multi-session course as a refresher for dogs with prior training experience, with trainer approval. Please contact our team before registering to see if the class is a good fit.

Sometimes the challenge isn’t getting your dog to do something, it’s helping them learn when it’s okay to simply settle.
Does your dog pace or demand attention when you’re trying to relax? Have trouble settling when guests visit? Struggle to switch off when you bring them along to a restaurant, gathering or other dog-friendly outing?
Our Settle & Calm Behavior Workshop gives you and your dog hands on practice with skills designed to encourage calmer behavior, better self control and improved focus around everyday distractions. You’ll work directly with your dog while our trainer helps you understand what to practice, when to use it and how to continue building the skill at home.
Real life skills you can use beyond class
Practice techniques that can help your dog:
- Settle during everyday downtime
- Stay calmer when guests are visiting
- Relax around activity and distractions
- Better manage dog friendly outings and gatherings
- Stay connected with you when there’s more happening around them

AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Testing
Our Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Testing is available for dogs that already have a solid training foundation and are ready to complete the official CGC evaluation. The test assesses obedience, manners, handling skills, and the ability to remain calm and well-behaved in everyday situations.
If you believe your dog is ready, you may schedule an appointment with our CGC Evaluator certified trainer for a complete CGC evaluation.
Full Test $150
CGC 5-session Foundations Course hosted in May.
Course Registration and testing OPEN TO TANNER’S CLIENTS & THE PUBLIC.
A Meet & Greet is not required.
