CANCELLATION POLICY (in effect at all times)

When you book a reservation at Tanner's Canine Resort, we hold a spot in our facility for your dog that is no longer available to other clients. Therefore, we ask that you cancel as early as possible to avoid a cancellation fee. This also gives another customer the opportunity to book your spot. 


If your plans change, for whatever reason (including a positive covid test, flight cancellations, sick dog, etc.), and you need to cancel your reservation, we ask that you adhere to the following policies and timelines in order to avoid a cancellation fee.


All clients are responsible for all reservations they make. If you forget you made a reservation, we will not waive the cancellation fee. Please make sure you are aware of all reservations you make.


If you do incur a cancellation fee, please do not ask the Tanner's staff to waive the fee. This is a policy that every client agrees to and signs off on when they register as a new client. 

BOARDING CANCELLATION

  • Cancellation of a boarding reservation that has at least one night scheduled during a PEAK TIME requires that you cancel at least two full weeks prior to the check in date in order to avoid a cancellation fee.  
  • Cancellation of a boarding reservation that consists entirely of OFF PEAK TIMES requires that you cancel at least one full week prior to the check in date in order to avoid a cancellation fee.
  • Late drop off (ie: you arrive a day or two after the start of the reservation) or early pick up of a boarding dog will result in payment in full for the entire reservation.


Peak Times include any reservation that includes at least one day below:

  • Presidents weekend (Friday - Monday)
  • Easter (from the Sunday before Easter to the Sunday after - 2 weeks)
  • Memorial Day weekend (Friday - Monday)
  • July 1st through the end of Labor Day weekend (2 months)
  • NJ Teacher Convention weekend in November (Thursday - Sunday)
  • Day before Thanksgiving through the Sunday after Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Eve through New Years day

All other days of the year are considered Off Peak Times


Cancellation during Peak Times:

  • Cancellation 0-3 days prior to the reservation start date, payment of 100% of the full reservation will be charged.
  • Cancellation 4-6 days prior to the reservation start date, payment of 50% of the full reservation will be charged.
  • Cancellation 7-13 days prior to the reservation start date, payment of 25% of the full reservation will be charged.
  • No penalty if cancelled 14+ days prior to the start of reservation.

Cancellation during Off Peak Times:

  • Cancellation 0-3 days prior to the reservation start date, payment of 100% of the full reservation will be charged.
  • Cancellation 4-6 days prior to the reservation start date, payment of 50% of the full reservation will be charged.
  • No penalty if cancelled 7+ days prior to the start of reservation.


If a boarding reservation is confirmed by Tanner's staff and then subsequently cancelled by the pet parent within 24 hours of the confirmation, then no cancellation fee will be charged. The above cancellation policy will be in effect for any reservation that is confirmed for more than 24 hours.


DAYCARE & TRAINING CANCELLATION

  • If cancellation of a daycare or training (Puppy Kindergarten, P.A.C.E., Middle School or Play & Train) reservation is necessary, we require that you cancel no later than 9am the day of the reservation. Cancellations received after 9am will result in payment in full.  
  • If cancellation of private or in-home training is necessary, we require that you cancel 48 hours prior to your reservation. Any cancellations later will result in payment in full. 
  • Arrival for Puppy Kindergarten, P.A.C.E., Middle School or Play & Train training sessions past 9am will be considered missed. Training will not be provided, and the open rate for daycare will be charged rather than the training package credit. The training package credit will still be available to use for a future session.
  • No shows for all services will be charged in full.


LUXURY SPA CANCELLATION

  • If cancellation of a Luxury Spa reservation is necessary, we require that you cancel 48 hours prior to your reservation. Any cancellations later will result in payment of 50% of the reservation fee. 
  • Arrival for any Luxury Spa services 30 minutes or later than the confirmed reservation time will be considered a missed appointment. No service will be provided and the reservation fee will be charged in full.
  • No shows for all services will be charged in full.
