Tanner's offers a variety of obedience training options for dogs of all ages, including private training, in-home training, day training,
group classes, and specialty workshops.
Our signature Puppy Kindergarten, Middle School, and Play & Train programs combine professional training with a full day of daycare, allowing dogs to learn and practice new skills in a real-world environment.

Puppy Social
Puppy Social is a small, supervised 1 hour play session where puppies 8 weeks-6 months of age safely meet, play, and learn positive behavior with guidance from our certified trainer. Thursdays from 7:15 PM - 8:15 PM.
Tanner’s account required REGISTER HERE to upload age-appropriate vaccines & negative fecal test prior to attendance.
Sessions are confirmed once minimum enrollment is met, limited spots. Reserve your Thursday session with our front desk!
1 Hour Play Session | $25 per puppy
AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Testing
Our Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Testing is available for dogs that already have a solid training foundation and are ready to complete the official CGC evaluation. The test assesses obedience, manners, handling skills, and the ability to remain calm and well-behaved in everyday situations.
If you believe your dog is ready, you may schedule an appointment with our CGC Evaluator certified trainer for a complete CGC evaluation.
Full Test $150
CGC 5-session Foundations Course hosted in May.

Workshops + Multi-Session Courses
Tanner’s offers group training focused on real life skills and common behavioral concerns giving pet parents practical techniques they can continue using at home while building better communication with their dogs. Not sure where to start? We'll help recommend the right class based on your dog's age, personality, and training goals.
Tanner's workshop and multi-session course dates, along with registration details, will be announced throughout the year. Limited spots per session. Sign up by contacting our office.
Attendance is limited to two people per dog, and children under 12 may not attend group training sessions. If either of these requirements presents an issue, please speak with a Tanner’s team member before registering.

This program helps build focus, better communication, and foundational skills to help set dogs up for success while introducing dogs and their families to Tanner's training approach .
This 6 session package includes a full day of daycare plus 30 minutes of private training during each visit. Available to new training clients only. One-time purchase.

We are the puppy experts! The early months are some of the most important in a dog's life. Puppy Kindergarten is designed for puppies 2 to 6 months old and focuses on socialization, confidence, and building a strong foundation for future learning. Puppies are introduced to new experiences, routines, and age-appropriate skills while learning how to interact appropriately with both people and other dogs.
Each session includes a full day of structured daycare along with 30 minutes of private one-on-one obedience training during each visit, and two parent training sessions.
All puppies must be current on age-appropriate vaccinations. Puppies not yet spayed or neutered are welcome.

Got a teenage dog? Middle School is designed for dogs ages 6–24 months who are still learning how to navigate the world. These "teenage" dogs often benefit from additional structure, consistency, and reinforcement of good habits.
Each session includes a full day of structured daycare plus 30 minutes of private one-on-one training tailored to your dog's individual needs. Sessions may focus on building confidence, improving obedience, reinforcing manners, and developing reliable real-world skills.
Play & Train (24+ months old)

Middle School (6-24 months old)
Daycare plus training for adult dogs ages 2 and older. Each visit includes a full day of daycare and 30 minutes of customized private training. This program is ideal for dogs that would benefit from reinforcing good habits, improving reliability, and continuing their training while enjoying supervised play and socialization with other dogs.

Work one-on-one with one of our certified trainers at Tanner's. Private training sessions are customized to your dog's individual needs and goals. Whether you're working on basic obedience, leash manners, impulse control, recall, or other everyday challenges, our trainers will create a plan designed to help you and your dog succeed.
Choose from 30-minute or 60-minute sessions. Training is conducted at our facility, and you'll receive guidance and homework to continue practicing at home.

Need help where the behavior is actually happening? Our certified trainers can come directly to your home to work with you and your dog in a familiar environment. In-home training can address basic obedience, household manners, leash walking, jumping, unwanted behaviors, and other real-life challenges. We'll teach you how to reinforce good habits and continue training between sessions.
Clients must be located within 15 minutes of Tanner's Canine Resort.
