Suzanne is CEO and co-owner Freedmanne LLC, which owns Tanner's Canine Resort in Waldwick, NJ. She manages all aspects of running the business, including sales, marketing, finance, HR, IT & customer relations. She's always wanted to own a business, and along with Tracey Manne, has created the perfect dog resort in Bergen County. She is on the board of directors at the Mahwah Museum & enjoys spending time with friends & family. She lives in Mahwah with her 2 sons and Carmella, her rescue pup.
Tracey is co-owner and President of Freedmanne, LLAfter losing her beloved golden retriever Tanner to cancer in 2012, Tracey Manne started boarding dogs in her home handling up to 10 dogs at a time. Caring for many different dogs made her realize her passion was dog obedience training. Tracey studied dog training at Animal Behavior College, earning her certification in July 2016, and has been training dogs and their owners since. Tracey believes dog training should be fun for both dog and human.
Christine has always felt a deep connection to animals & it is this connection that inspired her to make animals her life's work. She is a certified dog trainer who cherishes opening the lines of communication between pet parents and their dogs. Prior to Tanner's, she worked for a veterinarian and ran a successful dog walking/sitting business. When she is not training dogs, she enjoys spending time with her own fur baby, Bobby, and volunteering at The Unbridled Heros, a local mustang rescue.
Linda graduated from CATCH Canine Trainers Academy in 2016 and became a Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed in 2018. She has been a volunteer at Bergen County Animal Shelter for over 15 years and loves helping the dogs there find their forever homes and become wonderful family members. Linda and her husband Rich love their two rescue dogs Abby and Koda.
Elaine has a love for dogs' innocence and loyalty, and values the connection between humans and their 4-legged companions. Being a dog trainer for 30+ years with a B.A. in psychology and Minor in Art, Elaine completed her training under Auger's K-9 Kollege. Elaine has experience with group classes, agility, dock diving, rescue groups, CGC and Therapy dogs. Elaine is a sub school teacher, enjoys hiking, horseback riding, and spending time with her husband, 2 kids, and black lab, Chloe.
Lisa has always had a passion for working with dogs and comes to us with 20+ years of experience working in local shelters and with various rescue groups while striving to develop her skills. She is a CATCH certified dog trainer, a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and the Co-Founder of Real Dog Rescue, a 501c3 nonprofit dog rescue. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys time spent outdoors hiking, traveling and with her canine fur kids, Izzi and Henry.
Alex has been a dog daycare supervisor here at Tanners Canine Resort since August 2020. There are two things that Alex loves in this world -- dogs and playing with them! He doesn't have a dog at home, but what makes working here so special is that each dog is like his own. He gets to love and play with each and every dog while being able to send them home at the end of the day --sort of like a doggie Grandparent!
Yvonne has been passionate about dog care for over 10 years. Prior to working at Tanners she was a kennel assistant at Bark Ave in Cresskill for 5 1/2 years. She also has a dog walking business and has been boarding dogs in her home for many years. She currently lives in Dumont with her daughter Angelina. People who know her gave her the nickname “dog whisperer“ because she is amazing with dogs.
Emily is a freshman in college and has been working at Tanner’s since August 2020. Although she doesn’t have a dog at home, she has always been a dog lover at heart and hopes to have her own dog in the future. For now, she loves working at Tanner’s and seeing the pups everyday.
Amanda is a senior at Montclair State University studying International Relations and Arabic. She grew up surrounded by animals and currently has 2 dogs and 5 cats and is raising a Seeing Eye puppy, Cub. She hopes to one day open her own animal sanctuary, but for now, Tanner’s is her favorite place to be.
Brittnee lives in Midland Park with her two children and two dogs. She has never gone without a dog in her house. In her spare time she enjoys going to her horse farm, where she currently has four horses.
AJ has been a dog daycare supervisor here since June of 2021. She ran track in high school and now uses that energy to run and play with all of the dogs in the yard. Her mom has two Goldendoodles and her dad has two Lab mixes, so she’s always surrounded by dogs. She’s known to have a soft spot for doodles and lab mixes as a result.
Kendra is a grad student studying to get her masters in social work. She has always felt a strong connection to animals and even won the superlative for “animal lover” in her high school yearbook. She loves to work at Tanner’s because it feels like the job is a hobby rather than work.
Mike is a sophomore at Indian Hills High School. He has 2 Olde English Sheepdogs, and has never gone a day without a dog in his life. When he is not at Tanner’s, he is playing sports for his school or hanging out with his friends. He loves working at Tanner’s because he loves building a connection with all of the dogs.
Chloe is a senior at Mahwah High School. She loves dogs, and has had them all of her life. In her free time she writes and sings music. Unfortunately, Chloe doesn’t have a dog of her own at the moment, but luckily at Tanner’s she has many to call her best friends!
Gianna has grown up with dogs all her life and loves working with them. Previously her and her family have raised two Seeing Eye puppies as well as adopting their first rescue dog in 2016. Gianna plans on working with animals in the future, but at the moment she loves working at Tanner’s.
Yaheny is graduating from Montclair State University in December 2021 with her Bachelor’s in Business Administration and a minor in Computer Science. She’s planning to pursue her career with animals at Animal Behavior College in September 2022. She loves seeing animals of all kinds, especially dogs, be happy, healthy, and loved. She loves working at Tanner’s because she gets to witness and contribute to seeing dogs be happy and loved everyday.
Amina is a sophomore at Bergen Community College. She will be studying and pursuing a career in criminal law, but that doesn’t hinder her second passion, animals. She spends her days with her dog and all the dogs she loves at Tanner's!
Lukas is a senior at Pascack Hills High School and will be studying in Dresden, Germany. Before working at Tanners, Lukas was a dog walker/sitter. Lukas loves working at Tanner's and making connections with all of the dogs.
Sejat works at Tanner's part time as he is a route driver, doing sales, weekly. He is getting married in July to his best friend. Their Goldendoodle, Bowie, is their little bundle of joy as they love taking him to the park, hanging with his friends, and going on hikes!
Cam currently attends Bergen Community College online, and her love and passion for dogs brought her to work here at Tanner’s! When she isn’t with her work puppies, she spends her time training her own puppy, Indie! She is devoted to learning the ins and outs of dog behavior and training in hopes to open an in-home boarding business of her own in the future.
Joe is a sophomore at Ramapo College studying Global Communications. When he isn’t in the yard, he can be found hiking throughout Mahwah or studying in his dorm. He loves dogs with all his heart and looks forward to clocking in everyday.
Jenna is 25 years old and has her certification in veterinary assistance. She is adopted and currently lives in Maywood. She is very excited to be working at Tanner's and spending her time with the dogs!
